There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. SII NH36A Day & Date 24 jewel Japan movement, 45mm stainless steel case. 22mm Stainless steel bracelet with push button fold over clasp & safety. Screw-down crown. K1 Crystal. WR-200 meters.
Side note:
This green version was my first Aragon Divemaster NH36 which I put in an old watch winder which had an all fabric interior. Three days had gone by before I decided to strap on the watch again and to my horror I discovered that this 45mm size watch was just a bit too big for the winder. While spinning around in the winder for 3-days the bezel kept brushing against the padded fabric interior and eventually rubbed off some of the green paint on the bezel between the 10 & 20 minute markers on the bezel. A painfull discovery no doub, but from that point on I always check the clearance of every watch I put in my winders.
