Wrist Check

Today I've strapped on one I haven't worn in over a year. It's a completely refurbished Oris 17 Jewel Shock Proof Mechanical from the mid 1980's The only reason I bought this watch was because the dial reminded me of orange sherbet ice cream which was my favorite ice cream flavor as a kid....and still is. The watch keeps decent time when wound-up and the FHF Standard 96 movement offers up a somewhat continues sweeping seconds hand with what seems to be about 3-4 ticks per sec. The watch was clean inside and out and I put a cheap genuine leather strap on it along with a stainless steel push button butterfly deployment clasp to help pretty it up a bit more. I'm sure this model was at the bottom of the barrel in the Oris lineup of watches during the mid 80's and probably advertised as an everyday affordable watch for that office guy.

Movement: FHF Standard 96 Swiss Seventeen / 17 Jewel Mechanical w/Incabloc Shock Protection
Case: Stainless Steel Water & Shock Resistant
Crystal: Replaced with dome plastic
Band:18mm

That watch is killer and I don't even like orange.

Nice one you have there. On a separate note, you succeeded in getting me in the mood for a creamsicle, or perhaps the orange and vanilla twist at Rita's.

PetrosDI also remember loving orange push-ups as a kid - and you can still find them in stores.
