Wrist Check

more_vert
Todays wrist-check is another Fossil - the Wakefield Chronograph CH2951

Another watch I found for dirt cheap. It’s got a great look with it’s dark blue bezel surrounding a subtle cream dial, and “2-eyes” dark blue vertical chronographs at the 12o’Clock and 6o’Clock positions. The orange sweeping seconds hand mirrors the single orange strip around the upper start pusher above the crown….nice. I also get a kick out of the mini coin-edge 90-click unidirectional bezel, it sounds and feels great….ha!

Not too crazy about the dusty brown racing style leather strap, but it’s in pretty good shape which is why it’s still attached. Does this watch falls into the fashion watch category?….maybe. But it’s still a keeper because it’s a functional chronograph, keeps decent time, and dare I say, does not look like a fashion watch.

NOTE: I’m not 100% sure about the movement listed below but I’ve been advised by my local watch repair shop that it is most likely a low-end off the shelf Miyota.

Movement: Miyota cal. 6S11 Japanese Quartz Chronograph
Complications: Date, 60sec Timer, 60min Timer
Case: 45mm Polished & Brushed Stainless Steel Screw-down case back
Crystal: Scratch Resistant Mineral
Bezel: Unidirectional
Band: 22mm
WR: 100-meter

I was always drawn to Fossil watches when I started being able to spend a little money on a time piece. I regret not keeping a couple of my favorites form that time as part of my collection.
Nice watch!
