Wrist Check

more_vert
earlier today a super cool little (and uncommon) Calvin Klein (early iteration, not one of the modern ones when they got cheaper) automatic (Klein watches are part of Swatch group and categorized tier wise with Mido, Hamilton, Tissot and Balmain).
German Bauhaus inspired design, no fuss, no date window, no unnecessary adornments. Picked it up because reminded me so much about what some older Junghans and Junkers did (and to some extent Nomos). However, I like that the minimal approach was taken in terms of watch dimensions as well (vs just proportions, since small works w minimal, one of reasons I'm not super keen on 41mm+ cases but 'minimal' dials....), this totally wears like a vintage dress watch at about 34 mm or I'd reckon.
Screw in link pins on bracelet, solid end-links (proprietary lugs, so any straps i get would likely be custom/leather hand worked).
Loved it so much

I have two of this watch, one exactly like it in silver dial with black numerals vs the black w white this one has.
the movement has a date position when I adjust the crown /time (it's hacking and sweep is super smooth).
Not a lot in terms of heritage but in terms of design, and build quality, i felt they got this little watch right. Shame they shifted their focus to the large and in charge quartz offerings they seem to be peddling more now.
I contact Swatch group and was told this and my silver faced one were introduced in 2001 and have the ETA caliber 2004 movement with a 40 hr power reserve.
