Wrist Check

more_vert
My wrist-check for today is my vintage Hamilton Dateline A680 Automatic

This was a leap of faith purchase because the watch was running but listed as not working because the time could not be set or adjusted. I bought it with fingers crossed that I could get it fixed for not too much money or time. Turns out the winding stem (that the crown is connected to) had pulled loose inside the movement and was simply spinning in place. My repair shop guy opened the watch lined it up and snapped it back into place, repair cost….$0.00.

The case and case back has plenty of light surface scratches but the gold shines like new. The crystal looks great, I don’t see any scratches. The dial is clean and shows no fading, but does have a few tiny specks and pits!

It’s not a super thin watch but it slips under the cuff of my long sleeves shirts with ease and looks great….I love this watch!

I really enjoy how varied your collection is. A watch (or two) for every occasion!
