Wrist Check

more_vert
Today’s wrist- check is 2nd of two Red Line watches I own - the Red Line Diver Chronograph RL-50038-11

Just about everything I said yesterday about my other Red Line watch goes for this one as well. This Red Line diver chronograph has a bit more to see than the other but I still find it to be simple.

My main attraction to this watch was the shape of the case with it’s noticeably missing lugs. The round & rounded case is reminiscent of a tire or steering wheel which lends to the Red Line racing theme. I also love the blending of the bracelet into the case with perfect cut-outs that continues and completes the round case design. Also, this watch is much heavier than it looks with a solidly built case and screw-down case back plus solid links on the bracelet.

The coin edge bezel looks great but it’s fixed....bummer! The start & stop chronograph pusher is a bit touchy and will start the timer with not too much effort - not much of a battery drain but if you’re not paying attention it’s kinda frustrating when you find out that your chrono timers may have been running for hours....maybe days. Also I find that I have to grab the red rubberized section of the screw-down crown with my finger nails to unscrew it because theres no texture on the outer edge of the stainless steel crown - after a turn or two, all is well.

Movement: Japanese Quartz Movement includes hacking.
Complications: Date, 1/10sec, 60sec, 60min, Sub-dials
Case: 50mm 316L Polished Stainless Steel
Crystal: Scratch Resistant Mineral
Crown: Screw-Down
Band: 24mm Stainless Steel Bracelet - Clasp Deployment
WR: 100-meter
