I like the colour contrasts! The black (dark grey?) looks nice, as do the pastels. I'm not sure I want the Br Ba keys; they're nice and opinionated, just that that's not so much my opinion :-). But making the layer and modifier keys colorful, I do like that idea!

Going out on limb here - Can someone tell me what the uses are for this type of keyboard? I like it and all, but I have no idea how I could be productive on it. Is this thing for real typing at a job or something. Sorry I may be asking the noob question...just trying to learn! Thanks!!

d2fhHonestly, I didn't understand the ortholinear thing either. Then I built the board above and slowly adjusted to it.
The beauty of ortholinear is that you never move your hands. Everything is in reach at all times. Also, you use your thumbs for more than just the space bar; they're used for 2 main modifiers that unlock different layers of keys. I'm actually struggling with the Ergodox because there are too many keys and I have to move around too much. I am thinking a split Planck or Preonic is in my future.
I work and use all of these boards as a pro typist / property estimator for insurance company. I'm typing, copying and pasting all day long. So yes, they are fantastic.

d2fhOh and it's fully programmable. Meaning you can have infinite layers and modifiers.

bmilcsHonestly, you know what would be super cool? A complete set of caps, with the same design as those Breaking Bad caps but, the entire periodic table. It could be done in a really neat way. You could break it up in groups and colors by, Noble Gases, Alkalai metals, Unknowns, Halogens, Metalloids, etc., etc. Could be a super awesome set.

I really dig the Planck, and it replaced my daily driver KUL ES. But, I just know the Ergodox is going to take the cake. Similar to Ortholinear but better suited for my wide base ha

Have you done the Planck or anything like that? It's pretty easy.

jceaserI have, using Easy AVR. I don't know how to manually do it or write the code. I probably would do well though. I took some programming courses and have done a good bit of TF2 .cfg coding ;P
