Wrist Check

more_vert
Spinnaker Cahill arrived yesterday and is getting some wrist time. I'm not sure on this one, but much like Orient Sentinel drop a while back the price was too good to pass up ($80).

A lot to like here at that price. Manual wind and hacking seconds and it seems to be keeping good time since arriving yesterday and me giving it a wind. The stainless on here gives off a strong rose gold color, and I expected it to be more traditional gold sheen.

It wears a bit big for a 38mm piece because it is 14 mm thick. It was really throwing me off at first but I've been slowly getting used to it. To give you a comparison the well loved Seiko SKX clocks in at 13mm thick.

I received mine last week and it is similar to the larger Cahill, so I'm going to give it to my son for Christmas. I didn't like the NATO strap, so I replaced it with a black Dassari Nubuck Suede from StrapsCo.

PhlyI liked the matching hardware but the fit and finish on the strap wasn't great. I like the look of the leather!
Vintage1982BenzI'm thinking I may try a perlon strap on mine. I've never used a perlon so anyone with recs (Jimmy!) I'm all ears.

Is the bezel insert rubberized?
AsheikmSome sort of plastic. The bezel feels very cheap and is difficult to turn...so about what one would expect from a watch in this price bracket.
