Here's my first GMT, the Boldr Explorer. Got it for $140 brand new from eBay, came in OG box and even had the plastic protectors still on it.

Gotta stay I love it. Only thing I noticed is that with the screw down crown, screwed completely, the time seems to stop ticking?

Hoping this is a feature of screw down crowns, but either way, I don't plan on driving or swimming with this thing on lol

Cool Watch! I don't think that the watch should stop ticking when the crown is fully screwed in. Is it only the second hand that stops, while the minutes and hours keep going? Some movements have an indirectly driven second hand that disengages the gears as a shock resistant feature. The problem might be that the stem is too long, exerting too much force on the movement when completely screwed down.

AsheikmYeah, when the crown is in any way pushed or tightened down, as I assume a screw down crown should be, the second hand stops.
It's funny cause I just read this somewhere, but I don't see how that's fixable without a repair shop

AvionNDVRYou could try fixing it yourself, obviously with the possibility of causing more harm :-). There is a certain pleasure that can be derived from fixing things. Good luck!

Sent an email to Boldr about the crown issue, waiting to hear back.
Hopefully they offer a viable solution, or else I'll have to go on the hunt for a reputable watch repair shop. I'm just scared to hand a watch over, regardless of price, to some handyman who thinks he can fix anything without really having the knowledge.

Lol, thanks for the concern brother. As I stated, I don't plan on swimming or anything with this thing.
That being said, I definitely agree that it should function properly. I give Boldr a week or so, then it's off to a repair shop.

So Boldr got back to me, and you were right, first thing offered was a replacement watch (though with a $25 warranty fee). I'm pretty happy with that seeing as how I got the watch for $140.
