There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. I'd like to introduce you to our vintage Rolex 6466 that's been in the family since the late 1960's. It was a daily as you can tell from the pitting. I just cleaned the watch and polished the crystal but it will probably need a full service and/or maybe a rebuild. It still keeps good time after all these years. Beyond that the specs are:
Mid-Size
Features:Manual winding w/ date, acrylic crystal, waterproof screw-down crown.
Case:Stainless steel with smooth bezel . 30.5 mm case, 17mm lug to lug.
It's classy and doesn't feel small even after switching from my Glycine or Rolex GMT.
Have a Merry Christmas season :)
