This is the vintage Seamaster that my FIL gave to me. I looked up the serial number a few years ago and it was manufactured in 1956, so it is probably the watch he bought after starting his career. It was his daily beater, so it's not exactly mint. When he gave it to me it still had a Spiedel twist-o-flex band on it. I had it cleaned, adjusted and the crown had to be replaced. But I treasure it all the same. Maybe someday I'll have the dial restored and the original crystal replaced.

If you send it in to Omega for a service, the cost will be slightly higher. Omega charges a premium to service vintage watches.

AMCharlieMy FIL does love me, but he gave his vintage Rolex Explorer to his other SIL. I can’t complain too much though because this Seamaster was a high school graduation gift from my FIL’s father. My FIL treasured it and rarely wore it. That’s why it is in such great condition.

PetrosDThe watch is from 1969. I had it serviced a couple years ago. My father in law kept in in great shape.
