Wrist Check

more_vert
This lovely watch came in as a Christmas present and I'm really happy with it. Bulova Accu-Swiss Gemini, model 63C113 with the Sellita SW500 movement (7750) 42mm, Love the dial texture and the high polish everywhere. The onion crown is butter smooth to operate and the buttons are crisp and concise.
I'm appreciating Bulova more and more with their beautiful range of automatics and electrics.

That's a great one and I would have gotten it if I didn't nab my accutron Kirkwood chrono , heck may still look for one, they're a crazy value

Danbo_de_PianoTo add to the confusion, this site says the Kirkwood Chrono is a Miyota movement: http://www.watchshop.com/mens-bulova-accuswiss-kirkwood-automatic-chronograph-watch-65b153-p99973488.html And this site says it a Quartz movement: https://www.jomashop.com/bulova-mens-watch-63a114.html Ebay has several "Kirkwood" Accu-Swiss available but they are not Chronos... Strange.
GugliermoI miss typed, in my head as accutron since it hasties to that old line .., it has accu swiss branding but it was basically an accutron when accutron was their swiss made line, the chrono w Kirkwood name is eta valjoux 7750 but will say accu Swiss because the watch was basically done then the name change to designate swiss line accu Swiss, after this final run of eta based chrono, they started using the selita, it even confused the host on the evine video here, but the lady w the mfg spec cards corrects him http://www.evine.com/Product/643-546 Bulova Men's 42mm Accu-Swiss Kirkwood Swiss Made Automatic Chronograph Watch
Precision and polish, all in one piece. This watch centers on a stainless steel case with a fixed bezel and a crown and function pushers landing at the right. A sleek multi link stainless steel bracelet shows off brushed and polished finishes as it lands on your wrist. Now turn it over and take a peek at the automatic movement through the exhibition window. The skeletonized dial emits efficiency with index markers at each hour, three subdials and a date window landing at 4:00. Try not get lost in the layers as lume accented hour and minute hands spin around alongside a slim seconds hand.

Lol
There were swiss made Kirkwood eta based non chrono autos under accutron name and the chrono version would have been part of that family but it got caught up.in the shuffle, I think I posted pics of it on an old wrist check post

My pops had this watch with a blue dial, but he wore it to death (the watch itself, not my father). I didn't realize it was such a nice pece because I'd always seen it in such beat up condition. Still works though

It's definitely an automatic, has a display caseback. I actually just read about that naming scheme thing you just mentioned. Pretty weird stuff lol, accuracy based on electronics = Accutron, used even on automatics like you said.

I have one of the last accutron Kirkwood chronos, and it's valjoux 7750 based, and the rebranding to accu swiss used Selita and w chrono autos as well.given swatch group restricting eta movements. Both auto chronos are well made elegant watches w solid innards 😀
