Wrist Check

more_vert
Today I'm wearing the Accu-Swiss Bulova A-15. This is a reissue of the military flieger that Bulova designed for the US Army Air Force in 1945. Only 80 went into service before the war ended and the project was scrapped. It has the unusual "chronograph" function via 2 independent adjustable inner rings. Set one to the hour hand and one to the minute hand at the start. Read the time from the inner rings at the end.
A simple but ingenious and very functional system. It is totally black SS and came on a very nice leather strap but I'm trying out the nato for a while. It is powered by the Selitta SW200 mvmnt.

Do you just rotate the inner rings with the crowns at 2 and 4 o'clock?

Vincent.HHi Vincent, yes, the 2 o'clock crown works the minute dial and the 4 o'clock the hour dial. The elapsed time in the photo shows 5 hours, 48 minutes and 25 seconds. I think it was called an "elapsed time" watch instead of a chronograph.
