Wrist Check

Got home from work and put this 1980’s Seiko Sports 100 on. It was bought in Singapore for one of my best friends by his mother. I remember as kids me telling him if you ever get rid of that watch I want it. Fast forward 25 years and he called me up and said remember that Seiko that you always liked... I am selling it. I said OK send it to me and tell me what you want for it. Give me $40 bucks for it he said... Cool! As soon as I received it in the mail I sent it to Seiko for a service. They didn’t have a crystal for it so I found one, sent it to them and they put it on for me. They sent it back to me and it is one of the most accurate watches I have. It is actually the watch I look at to set my others. I would love to find a NOS bracelet for it and send the octagonal bezel to get electroplated. The bracelet is a Seiko C037 two tone, if anyone ever comes across one let me know. I have a NOS clasp. Reference # 8229-8010. This is one of my favorite pieces!

Wow, we just had someone go from lust to love within 25 hours (https://www.massdrop.com/talk/153/talk/1956060?utm_source=linkshare&referer=HDC6M4) and yours took 25 years. Congrats on the long awaited acquisition! When it's something we love, it's always worth the wait, no matter how long that wait is.
