LucQcYes, definitely different. Wish it is bit wider at joints, also belt is metal and chromed.

And since it isn't some bourgeoisie value, with x number movement, signed by Name of Names, it can stand some lucid customizations. Too bad I don't like bling. Oh, well..

LucQc Well, thanks, m8. Appreciate the compliment. I'm looking into Seiko 5 automatic, used is an option, since they are affordable and sturdy. Also, a neighbor of mine is a watch repairman. A friend of mine told me that he had his one serviced there ten or so years ago, and as a result, that timepiece is off by four seconds a year.

m425I owned 3 Seiko 5. One interesting thing with Seiko 5 is that you can find out the year and month it was built. I will give 2 as gift for 50th years birth anniversary. Each ones has been built the year and month of birth of my 2 friends.
I owned a nice diver built the year and month of my birth, this the one I spent more.
I found a nice 1972 from a Romanian seller which was in bad shape and needed tenderness love and care. Accuracy of this one is within 6 seconds per day without servicing.
I bought a nice Gold one built in 1976 the year of Montreal's Olympic Games.
Regarding the 2 watches I will give as gift to friends.
One was within 25 seconds per day accuracy and was not needing servicing.
The other one needed servicing and as the friend is pretty close to me I was please to pay for servicing. He will receive his gift in a little more than 2 weeks.
If you want more accuracy, I had more luck with some Tissot and Omega of early 1970s. Pricier though. I found a nice 1972 Tissot in a Pawn Shop with less than 2 seconds accuracy for less than 300 $ CAN and no servicing needed! The guys of the Pawn Shop had no idea what they had in hand.

Sorry for inactivity, Im on other side of globe, in Europe, also, Im enjoying a deadline for a online job. And monday being tomorrow helps the motivation. Thing in life tend to click. I cant tell you how many articles Ive read about Seiko 5 over the years, none of them made any impression that they are somewhat flawed. They may have a twitch, or not have sets of features, but they make it out with loads of heritage and all that combined gives it a character. It is a time piece that tells of personality. Tho, I may be wrong.

LucQcIf you're willing to risk losing everything you can hunt for ones needing TLC on the internet looking for countries where the cost of living is low. Beware that Fedex and DHL are charging insane brokerage fees though.

LucQcI could recommend my country, but I don't want to be responsible for any bad memories. Tho, I would recommend website you could get anything you want, including PCs, laptops, old amps, LPs, good low cost watches, onions, cabbage and other nonsense. If you do find it, then get sightseeing sneakers on. Link: https://www.kupujemprodajem.com

LucQcHahaha, je sais le marché de Montréal est pas super bon, trop de gens qui cherchent. Par contre, mon problème c'est que lorsque je vais trop à l'extérieur, il y a moins de montres à vendre, c'est pas un hobby super populaire!
