Wrist Check

The Waldhoff Multimatic Royal Blue. We had a hard time finding a matching blue strap, and ended up sourcing it from a different supplier from all the other watches we made. It looks quite fantastic in reality.

Love the look of the watch, would love it more if it uses an ETA or Sellita movt.

You guys need to come out with an einzeiger. Something like this, but a little bit less expensive:

Danbo_de_PianoOver at the discusssion for the Slo-Mo drop I have a few posts filled with images of more interesting einzeigers, including MeisterSinger. However, the Muhle Geshutte is my favorite. I seem to remember that MeisterSinger is not that committed to automatics, with a lot of quartz options. (Also, their we-invented-it claim smells like Moleskine-like marketing B.S. to me.)
Also, and this is the big thing for me, the einzeiger is a very delicate esthetic balance. You start with the fact that it's a very simple watch, just the hour hand. That's the esthetic. So you don't want the rest of the design killing or destracting from the simplicity. So day and date? No. The lettering should be simple. The design should be simple. But the design should not veer into artsy or metrosexual MoMA simple. More on the side of tool simple.
In addition, the size is tricky. To tell the time to 15, 5, or 2 minutes, you need sufficient diameter. These things tend to be on the bigger side. But you can go too far in that direction.
I think the Muhle-Glashutte hits the balance on all of this stuff pretty well, but maybe not perfectly.
I mentioned einzeigers here because Waldhoff is pushing their Germanness, although they source movements from Japan and China, just as most German watchmakers source from Switzerland. If you want to send the message that we're a "German watchmaker," you can do that with an einzeiger. For some reason these kinds of watches seem more popular in Germany than elsewhere.
