Congratulations and enjoy the wonders of automatic watches. While they are not as accurate as quartz, there's just something about having that little machine on your wrist. You chose a great watch and a great brand as your first. Warning: it may not be your last.

PetrosDYou're saying that as if I were looking at $3000 Ball watches like Trainmaster Power Reserve or something.

YanDoroshenkoNot my intention at all. Orient makes great watches and I own one myself that is very special to me. For me, it's not how much you spend, but the enjoyment you get from wearing it. I think you made a great choice for your first automatic and, despite the general accuracy disadvantage to quartz watches, I think you might find the same enjoyment in mechanical watches that many others also feel.
I have never spent $3000 on a single watch, although I have some in my collection that are over $1000. But I also get enjoyment from watches in my collection that cost less than $100.

PetrosDThat was kind of a joke because I am actually looking at those :D But sure, everything should be about the fun, not the price.
