There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). I wanted to give you all a sneak preview of a feature we’ll be releasing soon to improve the discoverability, surfacing and visual display of Wrist Checks.
With the addition of the Content Tagging feature (Subforums) we now have the ability to find and interact with posts by thematic area - whether that be questions, how-tos, projects etc… We plan to improve how one can create those posts as well as the way they display.
The first content type we plan to improve is the Wrist Check thread. In the coming weeks, we plan to promote Wrist Check posts to have their own Tag as well as a new design to align the interaction paradigm across the Discover Tab and the new Tag.
When we release the feature, you will see the addition of the Wrist Check Tag within the Watches community, and My Communities if you are subscribed to Watches. You will see all of your old Wrist Check posts converted to exist within this new page. The Wrist Check Tag will come with slightly unique visual display and features and there are a few changes you should expect:
1. In the Tag View, Wrist Checks will appear similar to how they display in the Discover Tab today, except they will have the ability to see a conversation preview and reply to them without opening the post.
2. Clicking a Wrist Check Post will expand the images to a larger view which looks similar to how Talk Posts appear today.
3. The Wrist Check upload flow will be streamlined to first upload a photo, or multiple photos ahead of having the ability to add descriptive text to the post. After you complete your post, you’ll be landed back on the Wrist Check Tag page.

If you have any questions, ideas, or feedback about the feature and the transition please feel free to reach out to me by responding to this comment or sending an email directly to louis.topper@massdrop.com.
Thank you all in advance, hope you like what’s in the works!
