Why is massdrop still posting the MSRP Prices ?

Why is massdrop still using MSRP prices when the really dont mean a thing. most products on the website are sold way below the MSRP massdrop sets on other sites

They do it to entice people to buy a product. This is one of the oldest used, "mind game" selling strategies. All stores do it because it leads people to think they are getting a great deal. When people think they are getting a great deal, they are more likely to buy a product. Using MSRP is a safe method, because it is a number the OEM provides. There is nothing illegal about it.
Retailers also aren't going to track prices of other retailers, and they are never going to tell you someone else is selling it cheaper. Some stores will sell products at a loss, to get you in the door to purchase other products, with a much larger profit margin. Also large stores like Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, etc have the best pricing possible. They are buying the largest quantities, and receiving the best pricing from the manufacturer. They can undercut a lot of smaller stores and still make a profit.
We save money here a good portion of the time. You still need to check your price here against other large retailers. Massdrop is trying to get us the best price, but they are a company that needs to make money on each transaction.

I think it's because MSRP means Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price. It would also be very hard to calculate some kind of average price for a product when it may be available in different countries with very different prices. Annoucing the MSRP along the product also gives pretty good idea of what class (quality, customers, etc.) the product is aimed for.

I AM referring to products sold on Massdrop (after all, this is a Massdrop discussion forum).
I do not agree with this recent trend of artificially inflating MSRPs of these products in an effort to make them appear as equivalent in quality to actual quality products.

The higher the MSRP, the better discount they can show us....wich also is here to make you buy with the feeling of good deal, the AKG 7xx for eg. Is cheaper at any retailer (in europe actually, for the AKG K702) than the discount price shown here....so if you use a retailer price as a reference, the discount won't be the same at all and won't compel you to buy

Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?

Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Recommendation for my next headphone set? I have Koss 95x

Hey all, What would you recommend I get next and why? I have Koss ESP-95x electrostatic massdrop headphones. These are my first and only audiophile set. I love them. I think my only real requirements is $500 or less for the headphones and that they have a little more low end. I don’t need thump but these are really light on lows…but the experience is still awesome. Also any recommendations on an amp? I only have my electrostatic thingy. Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?

I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better.
