It would be nice to have a value or budget oriented amp as I'm sure a lot of people wanted but couldn't rip their wallets for the Grace Design MD version.

thebrassthiefThat's never been on Massdrop... Nor is it likely to ever be.

DuggTheoretically, you are correct. However, if you check the comments of the Objective 2, there are multifarious shipping issues, missing adapters and coupled with lack of power/quality to drive a huge variety of headphones. It's not value if shit doesn't work. :D

HeeftyThey asked for a budget oriented amp, not necessarily one on Massdrop.

HouseYou have to consider the subject to which the poster was replying. In this case it was some big secret that Massdrop was waiting to announce. My impression was that the poster wanted the secret to be a budget amp on Massdrop which would suggest that nothing of the sort has happened.

HeeftyI think you meant @thebrassthief but you are correct. Actually I already new this was going to be the HD 6XX but I was trying to get some hype for potential future drops. :D

HouseNot sure how I sent that reply to you... @thebrassthief, People have been trying to get Schiit on Massdrop forever. Schiit won't do it though. They have a policy against sales/deals. From their website:
On "Deals"
We get asked all the time about deals, sales and other incentives, such as Black Friday specials, EZ credit, trade-ins, monthly payments, purchasing with 2 cards, and a whole raft of other “can I get a better price” questions.
So, here’s the deal: We don’t do deals.
Why? Because when you run sales, specials, financing, or other deals, it has exactly three results:
1. It makes everyone wait for the sales, so suddenly your company is addicted to them. 2. It makes everyone who bought before the sales wonder if they got screwed. 3. It makes everything cost more.
Read #3 again. The simplest sales model is one where everything is a fixed cost, no sales, no promos, no special package deals, no loyalty programs, no EZ financing. And simple is inexpensive. Simple means we don’t have to pass the cost along to you. Anytime we do a sale, start a promo, offer a package deal, or start a loyalty program, we’re adding cost to our products.
That’s why we have one price list, no discounts, no sales, no promos–because it passes the savings along to everyone.

HeeftyI know that already. I still said that because they asked for a budget oriented amp and the Magni 2 is one of -the- budget amps regardless of it being on Massdrop or not. Point still stands.

HouseI own an O2 and have zero Issues. The O2 can provide 88 mW to 600 ohm headphones and Beyerdynamic's DT 990 lists 100 mW max. So Not really sure what you are listening to that doesn't itself cost over a grand that the O2 can't drive. DuggOh it's not me, but with all the issues people have been listing in the comments page I don't think I'm going to buy the O2 from MD. You could be right that it is a fine product, but to me it just isn't worth the time plus the savings to get something from MD if there's potential for problems.
