It’s Fountain Pen Day! Share Your Photos

search

Hey everybody! Today’s the day to celebrate the art of handwriting and the use of fountain pens with fellow enthusiasts the world round. Fountain pens encourage the writer to slow down and enjoy the feeling of the pen against the page. They add personality to every letter, and can be paired with a variety of inks and paper types until you find what you like best.
So tell us: What are you writing with today? Share a photo of your favorite fountain pen below, and check out what others are using too.

Cleaning my pens to get ready for inktober. Inktober is an artist challenge to make one ink drawing a day during October. There is a daily prompt list, but I don't use it because i like drawing random things and it's more relaxing and fun for me.
Some previous drawings of mine. https://sammlerworks.wixsite.com/sammlerworkshome/fun-with-inks
And the inktober homepage for more info if interested: https://inktober.com/rules/

My baby! After finally obtaining my grail pen (gold watermark, modern Spencerian nib, double chamber vacuum filler) it's hard to find another grail, maybe it's brother in palladium with a palladium custom nib is next. Take care of the bronze age HS, she was always good to me.
Only recently picked up the addiction and I have 4 pens already...

I like that small hand writing.. Mine is slightly the same I just prefer a slight slant to the right as if it's a person and his head is facing forward heading to run off the page lol.
My current rotation...visconti rembrandt, bamboo ranga, esterbrook, stipula etruria rainbow, montblanc andy warhol and visconti opera bronze...

First time here - loved using fountain pens in high school but slowly got away from them. Had a reoccurring problem as a left hand writer With pens skipping. Now inspired to get some pens for journaling. Any left hand writers willing to recommend their favorite pens? Thanks.
Happy belated crew!

I'm a new fountain pen enthusiast and I love using them for my daily journal writing. I have several but this is the one I happen to have with me at the office today. I usually like a more traditional look but this is the very modern Lamy and I've loaded it with green ink. I love all kinds of journals and usually fill up one a month but this journal is one of my favorite brands - Paperblanks. I've also just tried the ultra disposable Varsity fountain pen and it is amazingly smooth and skip free so far! What a deal; but it certainly lacks aesthetic appeal.

I bought mine from an online retailer called Jetpens.com but I've also seen them on Amazon. At Jetpens you are able to purchase them individually. At Amazon, I think they are only sold in larger packages. I bought one to see how I like it. I've tried the Pilot Plumix which is a very inexpensive refillable and the first time through it was good but after refilling it, the pen didn't work as well. Jetpens.com is a dream world for people like us who enjoy the "writing community" here on Massdrop.
try e-bay; it is a great resource for pens and accessories. Amazon could also carry some items.. if you're looking for those pens, search for "Sheaffer School Pen".. or similar for the cartridges.
have fun and happy inking!

I want one of those nibs too. It looks as if that one writes beautifully.

This is my first of hopefully a few nice fountain pens. I love the Kara's Kustom's Ink 2 pen. I just wish I would have purchased it in all copper.

I take notes for work...never long writing sessions so the weight should be ok. I love the patina on the copper. I'll have to contact KK to see if they will sell me a copper body and cap. Then a titanium stub nib! : )

Oh! I love the color of the body.
