About Prada Established in 1913 at Milan’s prestigious Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Prada is synonymous with Italian style. Originally a leather goods shop, the business was passed from Mario Prada to his daughter Luisa, who ran the brand for 20 years. Then her daughter Miuccia took over and brought Prada to the forefront of the luxury market, where it still exists today. Innovative spirit, curiosity, and strong artisan traditions are the tangible signs of the brand’s values, visible throughout the manufacturing process, from creation to shop floor.
