Having the exquisitely made and upscale knives above, you might find it ironic that my favorite knife cost 10% the price of each of the top two knives. The Boker Exskelibur carbon fiber is my favorite so far. It's so thin and so smooth once I resolved the “lock stick” issue. I am glad for the jimping on the front flipper. It allows me to close the blade under control. The blade falls shut and I've had a few close calls and almost sliced myself. Boker did a great job on this knife. Speaking of slicing, I never go to a restaurant without it. Most steak knives are dull or serrated and don’t cut like this baby does. I would like Boker to make a 85% scaled down version. It would be just the right size in my opinion. It's one of my favorite knives to fidget too. It's funny how my taste and budget have changed over time. I thought $65 was too much for Spyderco Delica 6 years ago, so I spent $25 on a Byrd. While I have $25 knives that I enjoy and carry, I've spent just short of $9k on knives this year. My philosophy is "get want you want and enjoy it, you'll run out of time or money eventually." I might need help with my addiction. My wallet is telling me it might be time to stop for a while and I have enough to really enjoy myself.

stoutdogWith you on the Boker, have 2 one in g-10 (dont love the nail nick) the second is a CF no nail nick, numbered. It is my go to for times where my bigger benchmades and spydercos may be frowned upon.

TroutbumYour nail nick version must be the Exskelibur 2, which I was going to get until I found out it wasn't a front flipper like the 1, and had the nail nick. I can't figure out why they made it that way after such a fine job with 1 CF. I wish Boker made it the same way as the 1, which I communicated to them. Is your numbered CF a frame or liner lock?

stoutdogIt is a exskelibur 2 decade edition. Liner lock Ti liners CF scales. It does have a thumb ramp but not as prominent as the exskelibur 1s have.
