Here are few shots from a road trip through the Columbia river gorge. The first two were taken with a Panasonic LX5, the last two with a Sony A6000 + f1.8 50mm prime lens, yes a prime lens, lol.

TherocWOW
Therochave you been there since the fire?
AlexPkNo. We tried, but the scenic route was closed off, that day, and so was the parking lot on I84. That was a while back though. Definitely on this summer's to do list.
TherocLet me know how it is. It was on my to-do's after I moved up here last summer and then it was closed. I hope it's not too damaged :(
AlexPkWill do. From what my friends told me it's not too bad. Latourell Falls, where I took the photos above, escaped pretty much unscathed.
Therocwhew. good to hear. keep me posted!

Had a chance to take my family on a trip through the gorge last month. The stretch of the Historic Columbia River Scenic Highway, after Bridal Veil up to Ainsworth remains closed. Elsewhere things are business as usual, Latourell, Angel's Rest, Bridal Veil... etc. Multnomah Falls itself is open. but only accessible via the parking lot on I-84.

Here's a list of what's open and what's not, within the affected area: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd574101.pdf In any case the scenic highway will reopen starting this September and should be fully open by November: https://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/Regions/Documents/HCRH/Phased-Reopening.pdf
