Cannot decide if I like this perlon on the Steinhart of the green is too far off. The bezel on this thing really is a bright pop og green, the band cannot quite keep up...

I think it looks fine. What you want to match is not the color's value (brightness/darkness) or saturation (pure color vs. shade or tint/pastel or grayed down), but rather its hue (the color proper, such as green or turquoise or yellow-green). I think the perlon is close to the same hue as the bezel.
For a strap, which is large, it's usually not a good idea to go with a really saturated pure hue, but to go with a shade or tone or tint.
If you want to give up on green, then something brown would work well.
CloacaI was actually thinking a dark brown would look snazzy.

Tough call...I think it needs either a pure match or another strap color - black probably the cleanest?
