While in HS, my folks bought a cheap Admiral console. That sounded better with records and FM, Then in 1962, while a Freshman in college, I walked into a HiFi salon in Seattle and wandered into a sound room where they were playing Sinatra at the Sands. I was dumbstruck at what I heard! It was if Frank was in the room - you could even hear the tinkle of glasses in the audience. I vowed then, that I would have a system like that someday. Don't remember the turntable or amp, but the speakers were JBL Lancer 44's. I have better equipment than that, now, including my AKG K7xx's
