This is the one microbrand watch I've really lusted after for a while, so I went ahead and got one. The Autodromo Stradale. Zach at Worn & Wound did a good review a number of years back, and I'll try not to repeat too much of it. For those interested:

I don't generally get excited about packaging, but this may be an exception. It was like opening a Christmas gift over lunch, I was excited. They do a nice job on design and with little touches like the maps on the outer sleeve and the back of the warranty card. It comes in a nice display box. Unlike most boxes that go in to storage, I think I'll actually keep this one out.

It does wear a little bigger than I thought it would, but not terribly so, due to the case shape. It is shaped like the bell housing on an old headlight - again, in keeping with the automotive theme. All in all really well executed, and I've always loved this strap (I have a brown one I purchased over a year ago that I can swap in and out).

I'm terrible at saving money in my watch fund. I regret nothing.

I hear you bro (watch fund). I'm saving up for a Hamilton, but am still also secretly lusting a Glycine combat sub.
I like the unique design. Not 100% my taste, but I can see it's appeal.
