Just put this together a couple months ago. Love it.
Honestly, the thing I can use the most are sharp-looking file cabinets and organizational tools. Cable clips, controller charger/stand, etc.

jalvaniWhere did you get that desk? Did it come with the upper level shelf?

chyungspiceThe desk is the [Vivo Sit/Stand](https://www.massdrop.com/buy/56741) that I found a salvage butcher block top, which I refinished. The monitor stand is a shelf from World Market that I cut up to fit around my monitor arm and I made legs from some galvanized iron pipe and fittings from my local hardware store.
Regarding the desk, though, you could get something awfully close from Ikea. I just really wanted something secondhand, rather than deman new trees get chopped down.

jalvaniVery cool, I didn't even notice the slot for the monitor stand that's sweet.

jalvaniI'm impressed by the desk block. That's what makes the desk stand look much better than it really is. Good to keep in mind when making my desk.
And yes, Ikea has great desk "leg/stand" options which do the job for most just fine; it doesn't have to cost more than your monitor for it to be a decent desk :P

sneakeyboardThank you! IKEA also has good looking, well built butcher blocks that you can use as a desktop, and they’re well-priced. Really good option for a good-looking, inexpensive desk.
