Seiko 7002 is a predecessor to the modern day SKX

The 7002 line of divers replaced the 6309 in 1988 and thru 1996. It was replaced by the SKX line of divers in 1996. The 7002s uses a different movement from prior 6000 series based models used in earlier divers. The 7002s (especially the second generation) introduced many design changes to Seiko divers that are with us to this day.

As a 7002 owner, I too especially like the subtle design details, eg. silver metallic date wheel.

Thanks for sharing. I've not seen that one before. So many similarities to the SKX. I like the placement of the lume on the seconds hand, and I think I prefer the dial markers on the 7002.
