Cool little mil-spec watch, Mil-W-46374E made by Marathon in 1991. It has a plastic body, tritium tubes, and a hand winding movement. Its a beautifully functional design - extremely legible and lightweight on a Maratac 16mm nylon strap. Despite being designed to be disposable, these mil-spec watches have a long and interesting history that ties them to many of the watch industry greats. It feels great to hold a piece of American history.

Made in 1991, so those tritium tubes are 27 years old. What's the lume like? With a half life of 25 years, I'm really curious what the tritium looks like now. Can you post a lume shot?

PetrosDI'll try! It's there, but it's extremely faint. Like @PabloTex says in his recent Mil-w-46734E post.

Lovely example c0rnelius, a little-known classic. The variety of watches that have been made for the US military's 46374 spec is amazing. You've inspired me to pull one of my old Marathons out of the watch drawer and wear it today! Thanks
