Looks like Nafta is going to go threw some restructuring, the US has already submitted some of the things they want to change about the NAFTA arrangement. The U.S. requested that Ottawa raise the value of goods that Canadians can buy online without paying import duties and taxes to US$800 (C$1,011 ), up from its current level of C$20 .
Remember when the Canadian dollar was at par with the USD? And still we were paying more for our goods? We complained but still the Canadian retailers came up with excuses. Perhaps they need a shot in the arm, such as the ability for us to e-shop around. Not saying that Ottawa will agree to this change (probably won't), but it would be nice to not get my calculator out every time I want to join a drop.
