I have been looking at these for a while but haven't pulled the trigger on a brand to try yet since they tend to be a bigger investment than a typical t-shirt.

iKnowKungFuI mostly buy Icebreaker Techlite shirts, which fit the most like regular t-shirts and not like a compression baselayer. I say $25-35USD because I usually get these for $50 CAD at the Icebreaker store when they're on sale so $25-35USD would be a good deal.
Massdrop should do a collab with someone. $100 for a 3-pack of regular merino crew or v-neck shirts and you'd sell out I'm sure.

typeroninI have been looking at those Icebreaker shirts and I see prices more in the $70 range and also some customer reviews of the shirts not being very durable. I am having trouble pulling the trigger on a $70 shirt that may not handle the wear and tear of a "performance cotton" blend at less than half the price.

iKnowKungFuThe Icebreaker store is 50% off a few times a year. Usually 30% off. I have a plain black one that I only paid $30 for.
Getting the ones that are 87% merino, 13% whatever else wears better than 100% merino. They're pretty durable and can survive a normal washing machine.
