Wrist Check

More of a hand check than a wrist check, this is a Beauwyn manual wind pocket watch. This was my father-in-law's, and has sat unwound for at least the 21 years since he passed, and probably for another 10 years before that. I didn't even know this watch existed until my wife mentioned it on Sunday. I wound it and it's been keeping perfect time.

It's gold tone, not gold, but has a classic dial and hands and was made in Germany. Unless I open the back, there is really no other information about it. I would guess it might have a Unitas 6497 in it. It's worthless other than the family/sentimental value, which makes it priceless.

Last year, for the 20th anniversary of his passing, we had his Omega completely serviced by RGM. Now both his watches are running.
