What was your favorite keyboard drop?

more_vert
Hey guys, reaching back into the history of Massdrop, what was your favorite (keyboard-related) drop ever.
You didn't have to necessarily participate in the drop, but share which drop impressed you, tempted you, or simply gave you the warm fuzzies inside.

RK61. Only way we could get a 60% bluetooth with a good layout was to talk to Royal Kludge and get a modified layout, so we did it. It's things like this that make me love Massdrop (and I carry mine daily, in a case, in my coat pocket, for use with my Windows tablet and a mouse for a "laptop" that fits in my pockets).

Any of the drops which you either don't see at all elsewhere or don't see very often. If I had to pick one it would be the keycap-less Cooler Master Novatouch.
thekokirikidOwning the FC660M is not just satisfying, it also gives you a healthy respect for left shifts and space bars :)

This drop was unsuccessful in the end, unfortunately, but it was fantastic to see even the possibility of a Topre keycap set coming to market.

The Infinity 60% from March 2015. It was my first Mech that I didn't find in my basement, and it still remains my daily driver even after I've gotten other boards. I feel bad for missing out on the most recent drop, because I certainly wouldn't mind another.
Also, the hype that surrounded the WhiteFox drop was pretty good. Waiting until Midnight to make sure I got one of the 500 (at the time) was tense.

I still love my Magicforce 68, it was a great deal for a really impressive keyboard in one of my favorite layouts!

The discussion group for the Preonic keyboard has been quite friendly and seems like I will have a great support group for any problems. Although we haven't gotten our keyboard to put together yet, I am pumped to get it together and show off my ideas to my fellow keyboard techies.
While my Leopold FC660M still holds a special place in my heart, I love the infinity-series discussions when everyone is helping each other figure out component compatibility.
Warm fuzzies achieved.

cameronbachmanThe FC660M was my first massdrop keyboard. I didn't know too much about mechanical keyboards back then so I feel really lucky that I jumped in on it. I have I think 7 mechs now and the leopold with browns is still by far my favorite.
