I have three uses for closed phones: 1) In a web/computer meeting with clients. Here I want a boom mic, which I have from V-Moda. So having a 3.5mm female input at the earcup is a plus. 2) Next to my spouse while she’s watching TV or her iPad. Moderate to excellent isolation is a plus, but I’m not sold on Noise Cancellation, prefer natural enclosure 3) Portable occasions. When walking outside in my Florida environment, Alcantara EarPods or the Dekoni pads (not leather) have been the best. (Here’s where my OPPO PM-3 let me down.) Plus the female 3.5 input would allow me to use A&K BT receiver (thanks MassDrop!). When on mass transit, the ability to fold inward or at least flat would be best. So the two phones most interesting to me now are V-Moda XS which only fail on isolation. Or the Dekoni Blue, which only fail in easy portability. So your job, MassDrop, is to get a Dekoni V-Moda XS . HEADBAND: the AKG K system is awesome but horrid for portability, so any decently padded one (again, not leather) would suit me. SOUND: Oppo PM-3 neutrality or a touch more bass akin to MassDrop HiFiMan 4XX. (Again, Dekoni Blue seems enticing. Las drop my budget strained, dang it.) From closed phones I don’t expect super wide soundstage, thaat’s for open back listening at home. If you get ahold of Aeon Flow either Open or Closed, forget all other criteria, I’m in, as their sound trumps all other concerns including my wallet’s cries of frustration..

PDC3I love the v-moda xs for its design, form factor/portability and durability! Frequency balance is okay, but driver speed is lacking, which smears the sound somewhat
