There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). The story of that auction is well-known so I'll only...

Sometimes, if I'm going somewhere I think we may need the added security of a monster mini thrower, I take my Eagletac D25C Ti that was modded by Vinh with an XPG2 dedomed emitter that was cherry picked for tint. It is a "FIAT LUX" model, and has the most gorgeous neutral 4800 k tint for a dedomed emitter I've ever seen. I changed the driver in it to an FET+1 and now it does like 650 lumens from a good 16340 and throws like 30,000 candela. It's an absolute monster for something that will fit in a watch pocket and I have yet to find anything that matches its size to throw ratio. Anybody that sees the beam is blown away when I turn it on, they assume I was carrying a MUCH bigger light before I show it to them. Eagletac really nailed the reflector on that one.
I'm going to get another one to mod with an Oslon Black Flat emitter, even though it is only available in cool white tint, because it throws even better than the XPG2 dedomed emitter. I'll probably get aluminum though, because it dissipates heat better than Titanium. (I'd love one in copper!!!)
