RomniArcade - Serious 3D Printed Arcade
Being an old school gamer since pong, game watch units, up to my Playstation Pro i always dreamed about to create my own "console" from scratch. As a huge fan of mobile gaming and old mini-games from namco, coleco, nintendo (game watch) i started this project 2 years ago. Before that i have built 10 wooden arcades of my own design for friends, but it's a crazy idea doing woodwork inside an apartment. So i moved my mind to create a tiny little arcade based on the ones from the good old days, just because i didn't found anything like that in the market yet... Something that looks like a toy, but you can play like a serious gamer. :) And something that i could produce anywhere in the world just having internet to buy all the parts, solder iron, and a 3D Printer. As i have moved from Brazil to Toronto last year, i started to produce those units here after buying myself a new 3D printer. This way Romni arcade was born. It's on final beta stage, and near a point...

I did my best to remove all the nub marks as pieces were removed, panel lined each piece and did some light shadowing, used silver and gold pens to detail the frame and weapons, applied the vast majority of the over 100 waterslide decals, and used a semi-flat clear coat to finish it off.
(My camera's adjustments must have been off, because it is definitely purple, not blue as it looks in the photos.)
