Fun With Bronze

more_vert
I've got a Oris Divers 65 with bronze bezel on order, but IDK I could ever bring myself to doing this.

The problem is that the watch is not uniformly aging. For instance, the watch face is new and shiny looking. If it were a skeleton it might look more consistent.

I have a belt buckle that is bronze and weathered and it leaves a bunch of marks on my pants (beige/khaki etc.). But I can't imagine this doing it to a comparable degree to your shirt(s). I have a Higonokami knife and I gave the blade some patina by just putting the blade in hot vinegar for an hour and it totally looks cool and it doesn't smudge or anything.

Cool concept, but I think the effect on the 65 bronze bezel would be far more low-key with the minimal amount of bronze. I tried on the 40mm last week and liked it!

Sounds great! I stopped into an AD and tried on the 40mm bronze as well as the LE green pointer date (I prefer the blue dial myself). I ended up adoring the black Diver 65 with the 'lume-erals'. It was on a cheap feeling stock nato, but the AD said they could source the bracelet. Oris is a cool brand to get behind! Can't wait to see it.
c0rneliusI may source a bracelet for my Oris Chronoris, as well - I've been talking to an AD about it.

I would be worried about the oxides rubbing off on my cloths, specially the green and black stuff.
