I wouldn't call any of those remotely higher end, but nomenclature aside, if you want wireless noise cancelling headphones, just get the Bose ones. Bose is a 1 trick pony and wireless noise cancelling is their 1 trick.

HeeftyThe Bose QC35 is only wireless though right? So maybe the QC25? I had read the Sennheiser's have better sound quality over genres and read that Sony now has the better noise cancellation. You think Bose is still the way to go?

RyanFromGDSEQC35 can be used wired as well. I have heard that the Senn 550 does have better sound quality but I haven't heard that the Sony has better noise cancellation. Either way, the QC35 is giving you the best balance of the two purposes though. It still wins in my opinion fwiw.

HeeftyI was a fan of Sony till I tried the QC35. I use it for commute everyday now. Don't expect a noise cancelling headphone to have "great" sound quality as it alters the sound spectrum. But the QC35 has very decent quality with clear bass and mids.

calvinmdWhich Sony had you been a fan of?
I went to the closest Bose Showroom over the long weekend and tried their selection on. Preferred the weight of the 25's over the 35's but still trying to feel out the Sennheiser's and Sony's before buying. A friend (actually the person that introduced me to Massdrop) said I should also consider the AKG. He said he loves the Y50 but hasn't tried the N60 NC.
