Gaming headphones

more_vert
What would be a great headphone? Looking for something between $100 to $160 don't really want to spend more than that. I do a lot of gaming so would like to be able to tell exactly where my enemy is. Thank you for any advice and recommendations.

As long as you don't bring these to LAN parties, don't mind having audio spill from your headphones into your room, and don't have too much audio coming from another room and into your ears (like someone watching TV or playing the drums), I'd hiighly recommend this: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-sennheiser-pc37x-gaming-headset
I bought the non-Massdrop version years ago for full price with no regrets. They're open headphones so sound leakage and outside noise entering could be a problem (so picture treating them like speakers instead). However, these definitely were my gateway headphones into the audiophile community. These ones are cheap, sound AMAZING, has a good mic, and are comfy as heck!
I hardly use them now since I regularly use headphones up to 5x the price now with DACs and Amps, but I'll always remember my roots!
