LefibonacciI had a IT guy told me once that one should replace the hardware every 4 years because after 4 years, the hardware will be inefficient to run today's software. It means things will run, it's just inefficient.
I mean win10 basic requirement for 64bit is 2gb ram.

LilithcakeIn the case of installing a new OS you can always add more ram or install an SSD which will make an old system usually run much faster for very little money.

AlexaBlackTruly I agree, I upgrading to an SSD is one of the very first things that I always consider. One time I had a problem at my company where emails weren't coming through correctly and sometimes would take many minutes to send one email. Turns out the guy working there before me had MS saving all emails to the systems cache (if I remember correctly) and that is why it was backed up.
