Probably should add a little more info on what you are looking for: budget, use case, sound signature preference, etc.
Lots of great IEMs out there with sound quality much better than Bose. Wearing them over ear is preferred for me (a lot more comfortable). The Shure/Westone IEM shape works for a lot of people and most of the IEMs dropped here can be worn over the ear vs the cable down
You can always start with budget fi IEMs and work your way up. Something like the Nuforce EDC. I will say that having removable cables is very very nice, since cables are usually the first to go bad. I'd hate to have to throw away a good pair of IEMs just because of a bad cable, but it happens.

mayorblurpsHey thanks for the reply. Budget would be below $200. Use case is just for daily listening. I listen to everything/anything. is over ear really that popular? I'm on a college campus and I don't think I've ever seen anyone with over ear IEM.

MooshMooshMooshThere are so many choices out there. But for the sake of simplicity, a lot of people love the Shure SE215. They are relatively cheap ($99), have removable cables, and have a sound signature that works for popular music. The blue special edition is tuned to add a bit more bass. The shape of them requires the wire to go over your ear, which is generally more comfortable and the ergonomic shells could allow you to also sleep in them.
Another option is the RHA MA750i. I've got these and they are solidly built, fun sound, but don't have removable cables. But I've not had any issues with the cables and they are very comfortable. If you tend to workout or toss your earphones in a bag, the steel RHA might be a better choice.
Only reason I say to start out cheaper is because once you start digging into better audio gear, you might find yourself wanting to buy more, especially as you figure out what you like and dislike.
Check out this review site and list of IEMs It's a great place to get some suggestions and full of good info! https://theheadphonelist.com

mayorblurpsThis has nothing to do with this post so I apologize up front. I saw you endorsed a post of mine and I try to always check the bio on people and noticed you seem to have the same addiction with IEM's / headphones that I do with knives. I just keep buying every new knife collaboration that drops. Just wanted you to know that your not alone. Lol 😊 may the music always move you.

Gunnersmate2I like knives too! I just haven't gotten on as many drops for them as I have for audio gear. I've got quite a few folding knives in my little collection and a Becker fixed blade from a drop here about 3 years ago. Probably my favorite right now is the custom anodized ZT0900 I got a couple years ago. One of the smallest ZT I could find, still a hefty knife. Not partial to any one maker though, I just like flippers vs thumb studs or holes.
Happened to see your custom ano job on that CRKT and it looked nice, wish I had one like it :) I've never had a CRKT knife. May be time to find one!

mayorblurpsBe careful with getting into these knives I'm currently waiting on 5 knife collaboration drops and have purchased 23 knives this year. I've got issues and love it😜

mayorblurpsCrkt imo has kind of gone downhill with the quality of their knives. They have outstanding customer service. The knife that you commented on is a warranty replacement. The pocket clip is really weak and broke. They didn't have a replacement so they replaced the knife. That's when I noticed the quality decline. The knife I returned was a first run knife and the one I received for a replacement feels like a completely different knife. The pivot screw is just a little off center, the detent feels stronger, blade is a smidge off center, it feels like a knockoff. I'm kinda OCD and a little anal and notice all the tiny differences. I even emailed crkt about it and they offered to replace it again or refund or exchange it with a different knife and give me a 50% off voucher.
