Couldn't agree more. The Alpinist doesn't seem to get enough love especially since for what many consider an entry level watch it includes shock resistance on its movement ( That's what the Diashock on the watch face means), a compass built into the watch face, and uses sapphire crystal instead of the hardlex that Seiko tends to use in its watches around this price point.
