I wouldn't mind the Samsung too much, but the contrast ratio is so low that I wouldn't be able to put it next to my current monitor in good conscience
I was hoping to find a TV / Monitor in the range of 32" - 40" that is 4K with 60Hz refresh rate, less than 8ms response time, display, hdmi, usb, ethernet, dvi (optional), with 4:4:4 chroma cast; all under $1,500. Sadly this doesn't seem to exist, guess I'll be waiting another year or two.
While the Samsung is SST @ 60Hz it is a TN panel with horrible color shifting off access, no VESA mount and a flimsy stand. While the others are all MST displays which have their own unique issues they all tend to have far better color accuracy and build quality.
Changed my vote after seeing reviews on the Samsung.
Just so everyone knows, the Asus one has been getting better reviews (more features, much better build quality, etc) and its the same price or chaper.
I'll just leave this here. Would not recommend the Samsung.
Not sure why so many people voted for the Samsung one. The Asus PB287Q uses the same panel but has better features, a much better stand, and is VESA compatible.
The Dell UP2414Q is the only ips panel on here that I know for sure is ips and therefore the only one worth looking at.
PB287Q might be a better option, just because it's cheaper and still 60hz
Yea it is supposed to be a very good monitor.
Hey all,
I bought the Samsung 28 inch one on eBay and received it yesterday. It's pretty great! My Mac is having some problems dealing with it, but that's Apple's problem and not Samsung's.
I recommend it, FWIW.
