No love for Grado on Massdrop?
The Status Audio CB-1 are just as good as the M40s, much less and you don't have to replace the pads https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_BxKsGurII
I am looking for wireless

dude i can buy brand new here in sweden for 100
How many headphones so you own? 3?
1.Garbage pads 2.Uncomfortable 3.Proprietary garbage 4.Not even close to being accurate enough for (actual) studio use what they are meant for
Even more reasons from someone that owns (and has listened to and borrowed )way more Headphones then you
And stop making assumptions you twit
the people who picked m50s need to brush up on their definition of good headphones

"Equalizers exist" you can say that about all headphones you can make any headphone sound different that way...
Title:Best Bang For Buck $80-$120 headphone Not "pretty decent"
"The pads are fine. " Not if you look at 90% of the other headphones listed
M40xs are much better as far as bang for the buck in comparison to m50xs

Forget the M50X, but the M40x... https://www.google.com/search?q=m40x+vs+m50x
TLDR $89 @walmart, $50 hm5 angled sheepskin pads, $5 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter = $144 bliss Phillips SHP9500 @ 54.99 (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826138190)are great but you will hear everything around you, which can be good or bad $78 for refurbs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016YKB8ZU
$89 @ https://www.walmart.com/ip/Audio-Technica-ATH-M40X-Closed-Back-Dynamic-Monitor-Headphones/41483492
$109 for headphones, hard case, 2.5 to 3.5mm cords, 3.5 to 1/4 inch adapter https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M40x-Professional-Headphones-Headphone/dp/B00UG7QMPO
Stock earpads are meh, take off that m50x premium and add HM5s or whatever $20+, i got https://www.amazon.com/Brainwavz-Sheepskin-Leather-Angled-Memory/dp/B01J53WTUQ and i actually forget i'm wearing these on a regular basis

$5 or so I got a pack of 2 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXqsVr60ypU or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1uM6I2nlhM, also you can drill out locking nubs in the little plastic mounting bracket and put it back in if you like
M50's are the new Beats.
The m50 are not good lol. It blows my mind that people think they are amazing. Super uncomfortable, extremely cheap build, and the sound is average. The Phillips SHP9500 have one of the most solid builds I've ever seen, the sound is fantastic, and it's half the price lol

yeah whoopsie
Something that isn't the ATH-M50X
ATH-M50X circlejerk intensifies.
I find it funny that of all places Massdrop, the place where people would want to get the best deal possible, in a poll trying to see what is the best monitor for the money, and the M50x comes out on top lol

why? this headphone is just simply amizing... i love it a lot sinds i have it!
These headphones SRH440 w/ the SRH840 ear pads or the Brainwavz Replacement Memory Foam Earpads sound quite simply amazing. Their normal ear pads are okay, but with these upgraded, you can't go wrong.

I have the 440's with the stock pads and I'm interested in changing them to Brainwavz ones. How do the pads effect isolation, comfort, tone, soundstage, etc?
