I'm hoping my recent order for the Audeze mobius turns out to be a smart buy... I don't play games but need a good travel headphone and my bose sucks.

The LDAC may make the Mobius worthwhile, in my opinion. I've had issues with USB C audio thru the Mobius (Audeze say C to C works on their pixel 2 XL (big reason I bought them), but absolutely will not work on mine or others in the head fi thread - it does however work on my huaweo tablet that doesn't have a DAC function in the USB c dongle, unlike Google and others)
The sound is good, but needs a bit more low end for my tastes; I was a bit surprised how bass light they are. However they do sound pretty fantastic when watching movies via simple 3.5mm jack. Haven't tested the head tracking stuff yet. There are def some issues Audeze needs to iron out with the Mobius before they could legitimately ask $499 (or whatever their MSRP is). I still use my Game Ones...can't beat the simplicity of the open back headphones and excellent built in mic.
Voted but would love to see l the newer Senns or or the Beyer set up myself
I have the Corsair Void wireless for over a year now and I'm more than happy with it. If someone wants a wireless headset this would be my recommendation.
why? just why does this thread/poll exist :( this should not exist! here is the best gaming headphone you can get 1. buy sennheiser hd6xx or 58x or Philips X2 2. buy Modmic 4 or 5 3. YOU WIN! also what is your budget - there are good options in all budget ranges . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . what did you win exactly? a great headset, without any ugly flashy color, unless that was a requirement for the purchase - I am sorry
What about the Audio-Technica ATH-ADG1X? I think it's a good option.

If you are going for Gaming Headsets, go for Sennheiser, HyperX, or, if you have the pennies, Astro A40. The reason I say that is because Sennheiser they were the 1st and are the best in the game, HyperX because they are an uprising of budget and high quality headsets. And Astro's because the rich Dolby 7.1 and the engineering behind the frame is top of the line.
