Pixel density is pixel density. "Maybe" some screens look better than others due to the mask used or whatever, but I had probably the SAME AOC you bought and it looked like slightly fuzzy crap coming from a 24" 1280 screen. Not totally screen door effect, but close. Took it back within days. There is ZERO chance a 27" 1080 looks better than 1440, which I have now. Patently absurd.
Hz has nothing to do with pic quality. Hz= frame rate/smoothness. My comment stands. 1080 on a 27" sucks

I disagree. I thought the same for a while. Then I bought an aoc 27" 1080p and I dont think there is anything that looks better, well other than 4k. I think it more depends on the representation of the pixels.
27" @1080 is lame. 1440 minimum.

Being able to drive a triple A game at 144hz/Ultra is not lame.

I'm comparing my 1440 27" iMac to my AOC i2757fh 1080p 27" monitor, and I can see a slight difference, but nothing to go out and buy a new GPU for... 1080p is fine at 27" unless you're a pixel scientist.
i want a 4K curved IPS 35 inch more or less display.. 2 or 3 to use and one spare..
