RAMAI've created a CNC Machined Aluminium keycap for Cherry MX keys, it features various tangible surfaces on the top and is cold to the touch. It is a dense keycap with a lot of heft (I left a lot of material in the top portion of the cap, rather than leaving a consistent wall thickness), it makes a really nice sound when pressed (this can be seen in the video below).
