ImpracticalGamerThere really is no good mic under $50. If you can go for a $100 plus shipping and on a good day you can get an ATR-2500. My friend was testing his 2020 and his yeti, 2020 came out on top which is a slighter better version of the 2500. Listening to only the Yetti or the Snowball, you'll think they're the best there is around, kind of how people think beats are the best headphones which in reality, it's the first time they've heard bass and are too ignorant to look at other headphones. My 2500 from our tests is a bit better than the Yetti. If you have a mic arm, you'll be paying for a special mount, you could possibly be paying for a special pop filter and you won't use half the settings on the microphone. The Snowball is total trash. Just. Simply. Trash.

ImpracticalGamerTMS® Adjustable Desktop Microphone MIC Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand Holder Black, $16.95; On Stage MY-420 Studio Microphone Shock Mount, $34.95: bought both on Amazon. Audio-Technica ATR2100-USB Cardioid Dynamic USB/XLR Microphone, bought at Frys, on sale for $49. Works WAY better than the mic on my Logitech G230 headset. Simple to hook up, no mixer needed.
