Isn't the vote supposed to be unanimous for the republic?
With the new cards coming next month at the latest it's probably best to wait a bit. This is 2 year old architecture. I just went 4k though, so that's definitely the biggest motivator for me to wait and see what the new cards will do.
you only need 1080 ti for 4k, there's no point otherwise. you can run 1440p 144hz with a normal 1080 and it looks beautiful
Ok for all of you wanting a 1080 ti.... get an 1080... it is only 20% less performance for about 40% down in price and if you buy used you can get it for less then 50% at a local classified ad... Don't burn your money on the 'latest' consumer graphics card... if you really have the money for a gtx 1080 ti... buy a titan V and you wouldn't need to upgrade the card for at least 10 years... assuming most games will become 4K after 8-10 years (it will become the new 1080p). Or for 400$ you can sli 2 GTX 980ti...
Only 6 votes for the Poseidon? I am disappoint.
kind of a waste if the new 11xx series is coming out.

Yeah, but more of a when situation IMO.. It also depends if you have the cash to spend on the new cards coming out, but even then the older 10xx series will drop in price right? Might be better to wait regardless.

Performance/$ yo. Nows the best time to upgrade Also the 1180ti won't be out for another 6-12 months after the base.
For the longest time I've been looking for a deal to come through. I hope this will help, many of us gamers to have the opportunity to have a glimpses of ''current gen'' gaming at its full potential!
P.S.: Sorry for the title typo.... Kinda ashamed of it and cannot edit it....
